Litter Pick and Tree Planting

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to 2026, when we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Friends of Maryon and Maryon Wilson Park and the centenary of Maryon Wilson Park.
To kickstart these celebrations, please join us this Saturday, January 3rd, at 10 am for the first litter pick of the year. We will meet, as usual, behind the houses at the bottom of Kinveachy Gardens. All are welcome. We have litter grabbers, but you might like to bring your gardening gloves.
Following that, we will be planting some trees in Maryon Wilson Park. The Friends were lucky enough to be given some trees as part of the I Dig Trees partnership between The Conservation Volunteers and the Mayor of London. We will be planting a variety of trees. Do come along with your families and pledge to look after a tree and then watch it grow! We have identified threads so you can see where you have planted your tree!
Happy New Year. Please watch this space as we release more information about our centenary events!!
Best wishes
Emma
Secretary, Friends of Maryon and Maryon Wilson Parks
